**Role Overview**
As a Snowflake Administrator, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our Snowflake data platform. You’ll be responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability while working closely with cross-functional teams to meet data requirements and support business objectives.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Administer and maintain the Snowflake data platform, including provisioning, monitoring, and optimizing performance.
* Implement and enforce best practices for data security, governance, and compliance within Snowflake.
* Manage user roles, permissions, and access controls to ensure secure and efficient use of the platform.
* Monitor system health and performance metrics, troubleshoot issues, and resolve them promptly.
* Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and business teams to support data integration, ETL pipelines, and analytics workloads.
* Oversee Snowflake storage and compute costs, optimizing for cost-efficiency without compromising performance.
* Automate routine administrative tasks and contribute to process improvements.
* Stay updated on Snowflake features and updates, proactively implementing enhancements to improve platform capabilities.
**What We’re Looking For**
* Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Snowflake Administrator or similar role managing cloud-based data platforms.
**Technical Skills:**
* Expertise in Snowflake architecture, features, and administration.
* Strong understanding of SQL, database optimization, and performance tuning.
* Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and tools like Apache Airflow, Matillion, or Informatica.
* Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and integration with Snowflake.
* Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
**Soft Skills:**
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across diverse teams.
* Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
* Certifications: Snowflake-related certifications (e.g., SnowPro Core) are a plus.
